What is The May Court Club of Windsor?

THE MAY COURT CLUB OF WINDSOR

Established in 1934

OUR MANDATE

The May Court Windsor’s focus is to address the needs of children and youth of Windsor and Essex County.

  • The May Court Club of Windsor is a registered charitable organization, dedicated to addressing the needs of children in our community.
  • Evolving from the Junior Hospital League (1925) and established as a women’s service club in 1934, it began by setting up a Thrift Shop, a Day Nursery, a Prenatal Clinic and a food program for undernourished children in Windsor and Essex County.
  • We are part of the Association of May Court Clubs of Canada (est. 1898), a volunteer organization of more than 2000 women in nine Ontario cities.
  • Our members are unique in that they combine volunteerism in their community-through direct service, financial assistance and administrative placements-along with activities that promote a cohesive bond amongst themselves.

 FUNDRAISING

THE MAY COURT CLUB SHOPPE

The May Court Club Shoppe at 1122 Wyandotte Street East is the heart of the Club’s activities and is fully staffed by volunteers. Clothing for men, women, and children, fashion accessories, jewelry, and small household and décor items are accepted as donations. Come by and discover what goodies may be hidden among our shelves and racks! Our friendly and dedicated volunteers would be happy to help in any way they can.

ALL OF OUR PROFITS ARE USED

TO SUPPORT PROGRAMS AND TO FULFIL

REQUESTS RECEIVED TO HELP THE

CHILDREN IN OUR COMMUNITY.

                                                   Fundraising Events

In addition to the operation of our resale shop. May Court holds various fundraising events each year. A Wine Tour of Essex County, a Bus Trip to the Stratford Festival, a Luncheon and our Annual Christmas Tea are just some of the ways the Club raises funds to meet the requests received.

We would love to see you at our events
